#1 TURN OFF YOUR IPHONE

When your iPhone is overheating, you can simply shut it down

You can immediately shut down your iPhone by pressing the rest/wake button there at the top right for more than three seconds

For newer iPhone model, the rest/wake button is on the right side of your iPhone

#2 REMOVE YOUR IPHONE CASING COVER

When your iPhone overheats, it is best to take off the casing cover

This will allow the heat to dissipate more quickly

The heat is normally caused by the heat from your iPhone battery that is located at the back of your iPhone

#3 CLOSE ALL APPS ON IPHONE

Running multiple apps on your iPhone can also cause your iPhone to overheat

You can close all the apps by tapping the home button twice

Slide your fingers upward to close the apps that are running on the background

#4 CHECK YOUR IPHONE BATTERY HEALTH AND USAGE

You can check your iPhone battery health by going to the Settings, and tap “Battery”

At “Battery”, tap at “Battery Health”

Step 3

At “Battery Health”, look at Maximum Capacity

If it is less than 80%, you have a worn-out battery

At “Battery” section also you can see which app uses a lot of your battery usage there that may lead to overheating of your iPhone

#5 DISABLE BACKGROUND APP REFRESH

Your app will constantly refresh for updates using your iPhone Wi-Fi or data connection

This may cause your iPhone to overheat.

Step 1

You can disable it by going to settings and tap at “General”

Step 2

At “General”, tap at “Background App Refresh”

Step 3

Tap at “Background App Refresh” there

Step 4

Tap “Off” to disable all of your Background App Refresh
